Mag stripe production capacity and speeds have recently been improved at Spectrum Print & Plastics with the purchase of their new Euclid encoding machine. The personalisation system offers encoding speeds of up to 10,000 cards per hour, making Spectrum the fastest encoder in the UK.
Commissioned in August the machine takes standard credit card size and is used to encode, verify and overprint cards with not just high speeds but 100% accuracy. It will encode and verify loco or hico magnetic stripe on all three tracks, overprint variable or fixed data, including bar codes. A reject mechanism will cull any cards which fail verification.
The new technology offers speed and cost reductions for trade customers looking to get into this market.
Spectrum can mag stripe both polyester and PVC cards. Kath Doran, MD of Spectrum Print & Plastics says: "We understand the customer's requirement for speed and bringing in the new machine has allowed us to cut production times and therefore costs yet again."
With Spectrum's already huge experience in the plastic card market the new machine is sure to only improve on their hold on the market. You can rely on their friendly, enthusiastic team to deliver exactly what you need, on time.... backed up by great advice and fantastic prices.
